The mad minutes refer to "a period of time when every American soldier, dispatched to the Vietnam War, was allowed to fire anything into the perimeter.” The mad minutes are given to every soldier once in about two months for two to three minutes in order to relieve him from ennui. "Mad Minutes", a documentary film, is entitled after the fixed phrase, “mad minutes”, which was coined during the Vietnam War. Widely recognized as the most unvirtuous war in the 20thcentury, the Vietnam War may be remembered as times of savagery full of sheer madness to those who bore the brunt of undergoing irreversible experiences. All wars have their own noble causes and yet, no war can be justified. A war inevitably leaves scars. Scars on those who live in the memory of war.
