54 days of That Summer - Synopsis :: 2004/06/02 21:53For 54 straight days during the hot summer of 1993, workers at the Hyundai Precision and Industry in Ulsan go on strike in protest of the collective bargaining agreement signed "under the table" by the president of the worker' union and the management, the angry workers reject the agreement not sanctioned by the workes themselves. When the management moves to implement the agreement, workers revolt. This film accounts their struggle of 54 long, hot summer days.
